山村幸則（やまむら・ゆきのり 1972- ）氏はこれまでノルウェー、アメリカ、タイ、ケニア､ドイツ等々の諸外国に滞在しながら作品を制作してきました。鑑賞者が金箔を貼り付けていくことで相貌を変えていくタイでの作品や、取り壊されたバラックの茶店を美術館の展示室に復活させたケニアでの作品など、山村氏にとっては訪れた土地の歴史や文化、そしてそこに暮らす人々との出会いが、創作に欠かすことの出来ない重要な要素となっています。

Yamamura Yukinori (born in 1972) has lived and worked in a number of foreign countries, including Norway, America, Thailand, Kenya, and Germany. The history, culture, and encounters with the people of the countries he visits are indispensable elements of his work. In Thailand he created work which could be altered by viewers pasting gold leaf to its surface; in Kenya he transformed a dilapidated old cafe into an art museum.
